- We do not require account creation.
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not use third-party ads.
- We do not intentionally collect data from children.
- Most processing happens on your device.
Information we access
To provide core functionality, StackMade may access the following on your device:
- Installed app metadata — for example: app name, package name, version, install/update timestamps, APK size, SDK levels, ABI info, and whether an app is a system app.
- APK inspection data needed for framework detection — for example: package manifest details, library/asset signatures, and detection evidence.
- Optional, user-triggered exports or shares of scan results.
Why this access is needed
StackMade's primary function is to analyze installed applications and detect frameworks and technologies. On Android 11+ this may require broad package-visibility permission (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES) so the app can enumerate installed apps for analysis.
How we use information
We use accessed information only to:
- Perform on-device scanning and framework detection.
- Display detection results, confidence, and evidence to you.
- Generate exports you request (
JSON/CSV) and share files through the Android share sheet when you choose to do so.
Data storage and retention
- Scan processing is performed locally, on-device.
- Temporary export files may be created in the app cache when you export or share results.
- Cached files can be removed by clearing the app cache or uninstalling the app.
Security
We take reasonable technical measures to reduce risk, but no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.
Children's privacy
StackMade is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can:
- Stop using the app at any time.
- Uninstall the app to remove local app data.
- Avoid using export/share features if you do not want to share scan outputs.
